My name is Zach Ammerman, I’m a freshman at Indiana University in Bloomington majoring in Political Science and French with a minor in International Studies. I am incredibly interested in politics, in particular the role that minorities (women are minorities not based on their number but on their influence) in politics. I consider myself a passionate feminist, but I don’t think that one has to be a feminist to care about the issues that I am discussing on this blog. The topics discussed in this blog should not be too polarizing for even the most ardent anti-feminist to appreciate. I am hoping that this blog will create a greater awareness of the lack of representation that women have in decision-making institutions and the negative repercussions that this has on everyone, including men.
